Georgetown Police Lt. James Rodden and School Resource Officer Taylor Ford recently participated in the Antisemitism and Holocaust Education for Law Enforcement Officers program, which was held at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., on April 8.
Lt. Rodden and SRO Ford were among 24 other law enforcement officers from across the state selected to participate.
The program included a variety of workshops that examine the role of Nazi Germany during World War II, and discussions centered around antisemitism and the challenges of policing today. Discussions were facilitated by the Anti-Defamation League. The trip also included a museum tour.
The trip was free to participants thanks to grant funding from the Cliff & Susan Rucker Charitable Foundation, coordinated through the Lappin Foundation.
Georgetown Police would like to recognize Officer Ford and Lt. Rodden for their commitment and dedication to service through their continued education, which can be shared within the community.
