Dear Chief Kevin Barry,

As the Town of Rowley dedicates and names the Rowley Public Safety Building in your honor, please know that your legacy of service and leadership will continue to inspire and guide those of us fortunate enough to have work alongside you.

Throughout your 31 years of service, you not only served as a dedicated leader within the community, but also as a mentor and role model to many of us. Your unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and service has set a benchmark that I strive to uphold. I am truly appreciative of the guidance and wisdom you have imparted to me, both in my professional journey and personal growth.

You have shown me that a true leader leads by example and genuinely cares for the well-being of others. The lessons I’ve learned from you go far beyond any classroom or formal training; they have profoundly shaped my character and approach to life’s challenges.

I will always be thankful for the opportunities I had to learn from you, and I know I am a better person for it. I understand that I would not be where I am today without the difference you made in my life, and I will carry that with me always.

Thank you, Chief, for everything you’ve done for me and for the Rowley community. Your influence will not be forgotten.

With deep respect and appreciation,

David P Sedgwick

Chief of Police
